H22A Pricing
Do you think that $2400 is a good price for the Honda Prelude Type S, H22A engine with 220HP and 163lb ft.? and where can I buy one for a wicked price, so they can ship it to Canada. Thanx

2400$ is an incredible price for a Type-S H22a. They are really rare ive seen them from 4500$ to 6500$ for engine, transmission, and ECU.:smoker2:

Type S for $2400 is just going to be the motor - not the complete swap. I got Type S complete swaps for $4000. :smoka:

I run a 13.34 On slicks with H/I/E But the handling is way different and not good so if you want speed for handling dont do it but if you want to go fast in a strait line than do it

Just my opinion; but I have an JDM H22 in my 97 Accord, and I had looked into the Type-S and the price was about 4500, just like most of you have said. I paid 2200 for my H22 which comes with 200hp, and the Type-S comes with 220hp. So my question is; are you willing to pay 2300 bones for 20hp? You can practically bolt that on for 100 bucks (figuratively spoken) but none the less 2300 bucks for 20 horsies? But thats just a thought. If you have that kind of money laying around, by all means go for it, but if your on a fixed budget like most of us, you may want to invest that 2300 bones somewhere else, like a turbo or something. Hell you can find Type-S cams for about 600 bucks, and you still come out ahead. Other than that the transmission if I'm not mistaken was an ATTS, which if I had my druthers I would go with the LSD (which usually is a $300 upgrade at most engine swap shops). Just trying to help you get more bang for your buck.. Peace!

Only if its a 97 or newer; then it would be a good deal. As I just stated before, they go for about 2200 bucks. So honestly 2300 bucks would be a little high. I've seen them for 1500, so its all a matter of how hard you look for them. As a matter of fact my buddy was telling me they have 2 of them in Florence, NC for 500 bucks a piece.

Dude, buying a MOTOR and a COMPLETE SWAP are totally fucking differant. Paying "$500" for an H22 motor and paying $2200 + shipping are two differant ends of the spectrum dude
And dominate9 - I dont have a Type S motor in my car, I sell swaps...
