toyota vs nissan

my current 94 trooper is a few weeks away from breaking the 200k mark, so i'm in the market for another car. don't worry, the trooper is going to stay, that car is awesome. anyway, i've been matching up a 98-01 toyota tacoma, 98-02 toyota 4runner, and a 00-03 nissan xterra. I would like 4wd and a limited slip in the rear. whats your take on perfomance, looks, capability, reliability and gas mileage? my range is around 14 to 17k.

i like the styling of the xterra better than the toyotas. i also fancy the supercharged VG33DER in the Nissan as it gets decent gas mileage when you want but also can have power when you need.

just my opinion. the 4runner is probably arguably the better truck with a better track record beings its been around forever.

Re: toyota vs nissan

yeah, thats what i was thinking. but toyotas are so damn hard to find with decent mileage at a decent price. they usually run at 2 grand over book and move pretty quick. =/

Re: toyota vs nissan

The toyota 4-runner with the removable to9p is the sh*t. MANY MANY aftermarket upgraders 4 it. EFI versions are rock solid and offer upgrades from mjanufacturers like exhaust, intake, etc. for VERY cheap. F Land Rover n all that, Toy's stomped the competition

Get a Toyota 4 runner and modify it 'till your -people carrier-off road- dreams come true!!!!!!!!!!!!!
