Yamaha OX99-11

I read about this supercar in last month's issue of EVO magazine and what can i say this car is amazing, uner the skin it really is as close as you could get to an F1 car at that time (early 90's). It looks unlike any other supercar you have ever seen but its performance is undoubted. "only" 450bhp and a redline of 11,000RPM propelled this "thing" to over 200mph and via 60 in 3 seconds. I think you might wanna check these links:

It was an interesting idea when Yamaha wanted to put it into production. It would have cost a fortune, according to company estimates and, after a year or so of planning, Yamaha decided not to go this direction. Very interesting car, from what I remember.

Heres my take:
Very interesting, but unsuited for the street. It revs like a superbike, and while being powerful and fast, also being F1-derived, it has its appeal without question. But you would be revving very high for the power, and it would have been very rough, more suited for a track. And there are much cheaper and just as thrilling track cars out there, negating its purpose. You can even buy used F1 cars, from the Turbo-era then, with insane power and it would be an actual F1 car, not a car based on one.

If I were mega-rich, I would own one. If I was merely super-rich, I would have gotten a Lambo or F40, and a used F1 car or another track car.

My $.02
