Only the cheapest model max, the GXE without the comfort and convience package, (like I have) came with a speed limiter. This was due to, as I've been told, having S-rated tires. All other models, GLE, SE, and GXE with the C&C, have NO limiter, other than drag and you fear level Ive been told the 5th gens have a limiter somewhere around 142, but don't quote me. I would not take a car that fast on the tires that came with it anyway. The Max limiter is programed into the ECU, so it can be removed, or, you can just go get a same year ECU from a GLE or SE, problem solved. I'll do it someday when I have the time. Get caught over 100, your not getting a ticket, your going to spend time with Tiny.

I think you mean Tony. And if you are going fast enough, they might leave you alone. In the Toronto Star, they were talking to cops about a speeding crackdown on the major highways. One cop had 2 guys go past him at about 250kph (150mph). He LEFT THEM ALONE!! It would take too long to catch up, and it would put citizens and officers in danger. SO you have to go fast enough to not get pulled over, don't loiter at mega-legal speeds, go as fast as you can, and make sure that is over (to be safe) 140 mph. And if they catch you, I didn't say a thing. Wait, its on the net, DAMN IT!!
Anyway, if you treat Tony right, he will be gentle to

well, to be fair he had 5 people on board. And 176 kph is about 112 mph, which could be what his speed limiter is. It might be a soft limiter, just not giving the engine any more gas (it still gives what it was giving before), which is pretty good for a 165 hp car with 5 people. My uncles truck does the same rpm-crazy-but-no-forward-movement thing, it is quite amusing. We laugh and laugh about how much it sucks. Strange, but true. Anyway, A max is far superior.

I'd rather have a WRX than a max right now, but a max over any other subaru, and pretty much everything else in its price range. I want something a little different than the hordes of Camry's, Accords, and Explorers hogging our highways.

APC has said they will make them, but doesn't have any spare molds right now. So right now, no one make altezza's for the Max, and there is no release date for any. Sorry.

Altezza tail lights would look awesome! Better than the factory ones anyway.

hi

try turning on your hazard lights before you hit the limit or just disconnecting the wire from the speedometer to the transmission

heres a (probalby dumb) idea: Use one of those bike speedometers (you attach to the wheel). OR find out all the gearing, and then the RPM's will tell you your speed (this is how the car usually tells). I will post the formula later if you want it.
