WHats a good model to build for some one who has just gotten back into the hobby.
I'm a newbie to the forum and have to been modeling for quite a few years, but would like to get back in to the hobby. I am intersted in the Japanese brands like Fujimi Aoshima and Hasegawa beacuse they make Japanese cars which as my name may imply greatly interests me. I don't know to much about these kits other than the fact they are simpler than Tamiyas. Any advice/thoughts?
Thanks JDMTUNING

The new Subaru WRX has got to be a good place to start!
Nice and easy, good choice regarding your interests! Yes it's Tamiya, but in a new simpler form! No suspension to make, pre-painted lights etc. I even devoted a whole thread to making it! Go for it! |

You could pick up the Revell Integra Type R. Everyone in here seems to be having good luck with that kit. Popular subject, too.

That's totally cool that you got a kit of a car you drove! And you'll be one of few that have something other than the GT-R... :hehe:
...And welcome to AF, BTW!!! |

You can't beat driving a car you are modelling! I test drove the S2000 just I was finishing my the model!
"Which one do you want to take out?" says the salesman! "It'll be the silver with red leather I reckon!" I say! *Wonder why* I have also driven the GT-R, in purple, ala... |

I'm Doing an R34 but.......
It's the Gt-S not the GT-R b/c I drove a Gt-S when I worked at Nissan. BTW I did the Suabru and it had an accident when my 2 year old nephew spilled glue on the fender :-(
