Re: Recap of the Japanese F1 fleet - Take 2

Yes, it is true and very disappointing news.

The family still has the cars as far as I understand - should be #006 (now black), LM2 and 58F1GT there. I suspect they're still in the same location, just not available for public tours anymore. For a long time it wasn't open to the public so maybe they will change their minds again someday.

Re: Recap of the Japanese F1 fleet - Take 2

This is rather disappointing news. I was considering a trip to Japan sometime soon and it was going to be the perfect opportunity for me to see a good portion of the F1 family. Seems like the cars are getting harder and harder to find!

I swear this color is called "Creighton Brown". I won't believe I am wrong until I see the Owner's Manual from the car that says otherwise.

Chassis #013 - pictures taken about 5-7 years ago IIRC.

Re: Recap of the Japanese F1 fleet - Take 2

I've made a much needed update to the first post here including all the info I believe is correct at this time.

I'm not at all confident that #063 is still over here and contemplated removing it, but I am not sure where else to put it. It might be in Europe somewhere but that remains to be confirmed.

Has 25R received conversions to make it road legal? If not, going off the slide from the talk at Pebble the figure of 7 corresponds with #063 being there. (Also assuming that LM2 and 58F1GT are considered as being road legal, not sure if they are actually registered for road use.)

If 25R is now road legal then it could be a fair assumption that #063 indeed has not returned to Japan, although I certainly cannot shed light on where it might be/end up.
