Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet
If you mean Ian Mackechnie, he's not down on my list as #003's owner

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet
I do know who owns #003 but I am not able to share his name.
PR Newswire lists Ian MacKechnie as Founder, President and CEO of Amscot Financial and he's not the one. His is also not a name I am familiar with in connection to any F1s. There are other 'McLarens' and also cars that have, in the past, been repeatedly mistaken for an F1 (Mosler, Saleen, Noble even) so without some real proof it is tough to know whether the story is true? >8^) ER EDIT: Helps to turn the page... |

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet
There's a bit of footage of Herb Chambers' car in "Chasing classic cars". In that episode Wayne finds Herb's old daytona spider. When they check out Herb's garage for his daytona gtb, the F1 is also shown.

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet
In totally unrelated news, I found some images of chassis #065 taken in early 2010 that I am able to share.
Some might wonder how I can tell this is #065. Truthfully I can't just by looking at it, but based on details from the source I can assure you it is. Been a while since this one has surfaced so I was pleased to find something to share. >8^) ER |

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet
Does anyone have a clue as to what chassis number Lawrence Stroll's F1 roadcar might be? That car seems to be a big secret since there is very little info or pictures about it. I wonder if it's 15 years old yet then it will be street legal in Canada and we may be able to see it more.

I do know which car it is but can not yet make that public information. I can say previous guesses were wrong and can also add that he is an original owner of that car.

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet
#028 made an appearance at the Marin Concours last weekend. I am sure there are more pictures floating around out there but here's one with quite a line up.

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet
Is that 959 a real "original," one of Canepa's hybrids, or a phony?

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet
I'd imagine it's a Canepa car.
That photo does show how well resolved and well packaged the F1 design is. Still looks absolutely perfect amongst similar cars. |

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet
Interesting in that the rear damper bridge is not gold anodised like most of them.
