Advance will not sell parts that have been returned. My cousin is a manager at one and parts that are returned are either sent back to the manufacturer or they are defected out.
Also the parts Advance sells are no different than the ones sold by Auto Zone, O'Reilly's or even Rock Auto. With any electrical part it is always a crap shoot no matter where you buy it from.
