Lightbulb 1995 Riviera - tools/parts needed to replace master cylinder & brake booster

We are going to need to replace the master cylinder on our 1995 Buick Riviera - supercharged.

I know we need a brake booster. Do we also need a replacement gasket if it turns out we need it?

And we need a master cylinder - I prefer to get one with a reservoir attached. My partner thinks he needs a push rod height gauge. Do we need a check valve kit with check valve & grommet? He has worked on cars a lot, this is just a new thing.

I also looked for 'kits' that would include everything, but they were much more expensive and didn't look like the sum of the other parts.

Anybody who has done this have any helpful hints? We used to have a garage to work in, but now we have an apartment parking lot. Ugh.
