83 SEC 380 Front spring popping?

I have a 1983 MB 380 SEC which has some kind of popping noise coming from the roght front spring. I had an assistant pushing up and down on the fender so that I could locate the noise. It is coming from the right front coil spring. With the exception of some rust, the spring looks ok. First, what is causing it to make this noise and is this the only thing that needs to be replaced and if so, should I also replace the other side as well? Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Looking manuals for my Mercedes 380 SE I found the site Crazy About Mercedes, it have manuals for various models at reasonable prices.

For example, for the M116 & 117 engine it's $ 20 and it immediately downloads, without advertising, virus-free and without complications.

Hope this helps the data.
