Question 2000 V6 Mustang Making Noise when Accelerating?

I currently Drive a 2000 v6 Mustang with 115000 miles on it. And recently it has been making a weird like knocking or pinging sound when ever i accelerate. Its like that but its a weird sound only when i accelerate. And when i cruise at 40 MPH i hear it. Can anyone help me. Its like also a weird gargoling well its a hard to describe sound. But it stalls my acceleration. Has anyone ever encountered a problem like this.

Re: 2000 V6 Mustang Making Noise when Accelerating?

Welcome to the forum. If the cooling system is running extra hot it could make your 'stang ping upon acceleration. The gurgling noise you hear could be partial coolant going through your heater core. Check that coolant and replace the 'stat if it is running hot. Try some high test gas. Should solve the knock.
