Clutch Masters Stage 3
I am going to be getting a new Clutch Masters Stage 3 Clutch and I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with this clutch? Also what kind of Flywheel do you guys recommend? I am looking to get a Chromoly one.

Why do you need the clutch?? If you aren't making a significant amount over power(a lot more than stock) it's a waste of money, won't be very fun to drive on the street in traffic, and will need to be replaced sooner than a replacement OEM clutch will. Think hard about it before you do this.

the cm stage 3 is just a full faced kevlar disc isnt it? I have an action clutch, full face kevlar, and it works fine, almost exact same feel as stock. although the CM PP may be different, ill have to check it out

Well as soon as I sell my bike then I am going to be putting on a Turbonetics t04/t3 turbo. I figure why buy 2 clutches. Stage 3 is not a 6-puck. Stage 3 is still Streetable it is the Stage 4 and the stage 5 that are tought to drive on the street

i have a friend who bought a `91 civic hatch that had a stock d15 in it with an intake. the previous owner had put in a stage 4 for no good reason. it gripped well, but that was it. getting a stage 3 shouldent be that bad.
as far as the flywheel, get something that weighs is at aboun 9 pounds. if you go much lighter then getting going on the street could be difficult. to heavy and you won't notice any difference.

i've seen a few CM pressure plates come out of transmissions with a few of the diapragm springs broken off.

YOU SHOULD BE FINE AS LONG AS YOU DONT GET A 6 PUCK CLUTCH. THEY ARE NOT GOOD FOR THE STREET AT ALL AND NOT EVEN THAT GREAT FOR DRAG RACING WITH ONLY MINOR MODS BECAUSE THERE IS NO SLIPPING ONLY ON AND OFF

ok heres the deal. i just put a clutchmasters stage 3 and a clutchmasters flywheel in my lude a couple days ago and anyone who tells you its unstreetable is full of shit. in fact its engagement is unbelievably smoother then the OEM clutch. im still getting used to the flywheel but that is equally as drivable. oh and my pedal pressure was increased but its still very acceptable
