Hello
I have a 2000 Mercedes S500 with active air suspension. The left front strut/shock will not hold air. Shortly after I shut the engine off, the left front fender drops down on top of the tire. A replacement strut cost about $1100. I did some reseach and found out that I can replace all 4 of the struts with spring shock for $940. I have ridden in a few town cars with springs and the ride is awsome, smooth. I been told since my car has some age on it, chances are that I will be replacing another strut, or air compressor, air line, air dryer are something dealing with the air system. The repair cost will be up there. Do anyone know if this is a good idea. I want to replace air with springs? Are there any complications that may arise with the mercedes? I have paste the web site that gave me the idea. Any reply from anyone will be helpful. Thanks
