idles great- no power/miss on accel

The '01 3.2 with 97K miles ran great when I bought it last week- drove it 700 miles with no problems- Stopped to wash it and cleaned up the engine with a power wash like I have done to all the other cars I've had.....never had a problem until this one.

After the wash- runs great at idle- AND runs fine when cold for 1st 5 minutes after start.....but after around 5 mintues, when normal operating temp- stalls/misses when I attempt to accel even slowly. No Check Engine Light- replaced MAF and checked sensor connections for water thinking water may have gotten into a connector- All are very dry with no water inside- I have some moderate to heavy mechanical experience but I am completely zeroed out on what could be the cause here..... I'm thinking coil or injector problem- but why would it run normal under power/accel when cold, then begin to miss and stall under accel/load when at normal operating temperature? Why no Check Engine light lit up for the misfire? Any ideas? Am I missing something obvious here?........

Thanks so much.....Gene
