Alero Rear Defog Not Working
Myrear defogger is not working, the switch light comes on but it never warms to clear the light frost on the window. All of the wires/lines across the window are intact and connections on the window are okay. Could it be the module that has gone bad? And I think this is located in the rear driver side panel next to the rear seat.
Any suggestions? |

Re: Alero Rear Defog Not Working
Sounds like the defogger module which is really called the RF module since there is input from the radio to the grid antenna. Check out the Alero forum since we have many historical posts concerning the issue including location and replacement. It is either located at the rear c-pillar behind the trim or under the rear speaker package shelf.

Re: Alero Rear Defog Not Working
Just read your post, this thread gives a how to fix it assuming you have the same problem, you will know if you read this thread;
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...=rear+defogger the fellow with the last post has pictures , you have to copy them to your browser. I had the same issue, it's really another bad design flaw , but a relatively easy fix. copy the picks from http thru to jpg and put them in your browser address bar and hit enter. as bnaylor said it's located passenger side, rear seat pillar under the molding , pops out. have to give a good pull on antenna connection to remove it. Good luck. |
