The paint job cost about $5000 on the original car with the anime samurai on the hood and $3000 for each of the four copies that were later made for Tyrese to drive.

My thing is, what could you do for $10,000 that you couldn't do for $5,000

Maybe lots or airbrushing, certain paints cost over 5,000 just to put a normal coat of paint on. The clear coat is very expensive too. If they sprayed like 7 coats of clear to give it that "water" look that might cost more. The dude that painted it might charge out the @#$% for painting that type of a job. (houly rate). You never know, it possible, a little costly however.

The thing is... The original blue and silver one painted by ProComp in Cape Coral, FL is my car. The Purple and silver copies of my car were also painted by ProComp, after I signed the release. Here's a newpaper article, some photos, and links:

This is my first post but I just wanted to comment on something.

You cannot compare Gone in 60 seconds and Faf1...because both have different purposes. Gone is 60 seconds is all about expensive sports cars, and how the dude had to boost em. But Faf1 is not about that. its about cars that are hooked up (sooped up) or whatever....giving style to your ride, nicer looks and paint jobs, street racin at etc....its way different as in having "better cars". Faf1 could have way better cars if they wanted to, but that wasnt the point of the movie.......

Again, they are 2 different movies and shouldnt be compared. Both are nice but Faf1 seems kinda fake, hope faf2 is better!

Anyone have more pics? i heard about some dude in Miami was drivin his 2002 Eclipse going home from work, and some guy stopped him , and complimented his hooked up ride and asked if he wants the car to be on the next faf2....thats BAD! i think its a blue eclipse with one blue stripe or somethin.....

I dont want to fight with anyone, I just was letting everyone else know what I heard. Is it true or not I dont know. Yes the paint job on your car looks close to the one in the movie, but they arnt exactly the same. Meaning you may have only paid $5,000, but they may have paid $10,000, thats all I am saying. They have some pics in the march vol 15 no3 issue of Sport Compact Car of the skyline, 350z, evo, nsx, s2000, dodge ram (look how the nsx and ram have matching paintjobs), and the car in ? the eclipse< a good front/side veiw>.

I havn't read through all the posts on every page, and maybe someone already posted this.. but the Trailer for the movie is out now... and all I can say.. is well.. it looks like it's going to be very colorful. Through the trailer, Brian is driving a Lancer Evo... I dont think I saw even one of the cars except the pink one in the trailer from those spy pics..
