weird scraping noise!!!

Hey, I got a slight problem...I just had a wheel bearing changed in my front passenger side. I dont know if this has anything do with it but anyways... I hear a weird metal on metal scraping sound on every revolution of my tire, only in that side...brakes are fine...its driving me nuts, one mechanic said something about a backing plate?? where is this located? does this make sense?
Let me know ASAP!! thanks..

Who did the swap? I'd take it back to them so they could fix it.

I don't know about any "backing plate" on a modern car, except on drum brakes. I have some front discs for a '69 Mustang that have a backing plate...

Is the sound a sheet metal sound, cast metal sound, or what?

It was midas who changed my wheel bearing...but I had another mechanic have a look at it, and he says its all good, the bearing was put in right...
Im not sure how to tell the difference between cast metal sound and a sheet metal sound...
All I know is that its driving me crazy..
What else could it possibly be.???

Check your inside brake pads.

The noise has mysteriously come to an end...Im thinking that maybe it was a piece of rust that fell down and got trapped somewhere...and it eventually just disintegrated...but I guess ill never know...
Thanks for the help Scatch
