SiR front lip
Someone is sellin the front lip from an SiR on ebay - I was wondering if this piece is standard (speak up SiR owners). I'm not a big fan of full body kits and I think a front lip would look nice to make the front bumper appear just a little lower. However, I'm not sure if it will fit the USDM bumper cleanly, anyone know? If anyone knows where to get these front clips from, let me know (I'm curious if this is a rare part). I'm still saving for the swap so I'm trying to hold back on buying non-swap related items. Here's a link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...ndexURL=0&rd=1 . I'd even take a knock-off version, but I've never seen an EF lip before.
By the way, the swap seems closer than ever now that my cousin found an experienced hybrid mechanic in my area (that will do the work pretty cheap). As it draws closer, I will probably have a lot of questions, so don't be mad at me! Should I pick up some HASport motor mounts for $315 shipped? One more ? - Is it hard as hell to find a LSD equipped cable tranny for the b16a 1st gen? I've only seen non-lsd...Thanks fellas

I dont think it will fit. I think there is a little difference in the JDM vs. USDM. You might want to talk to moppie. He might know a little more about it than me.

Its standard on all the SiR's, and is common on most if not all the Face lifted 4gs from 91.
Its bolted around the bottom of the bumber with about 10 10mm bolts. There about as common as all SiR parts, which is not very, however I can probobly get a new one from Honda. (which reminds me, those of you who wanted stuff check your email in a few hours, I should have some prices) You might be able to bend it to fit the USDM bumber, as the bottom shape cant be that differnt, and its made from flexiable plasitc.

Easy to tell what it looks like:
As Moppie said, the bumpers themselves are a slightly different shape. It may fit or it may not. If you can get the rear and side rubber skirts it looks cool. There's a GL Civic at work and my SiR owns it in terms of looks |
