Average mileage on a 300C?

Hey, I don't own a 300C or anything, but what do you guys average gas wise? And do all of you use regular?

I know that they do use reguler but I dont know them MPG... Ill look when I go to work, god I love working at dodge...

G 60 and Samurai,

I've owned my Deep Lava Red 300C for two weeks and am getting 15.8 MPG going about 16 miles roundtrip combined stop-go traffic and about a mile or so at 60-65 MPH on the interstate to work. Engine is nowhwere near broken in (480 mi) and the MDS isn't on long enough to make a difference yet. Hope to get a longer interstate trip going soon to get a better read. I dumped a couple tankfuls of premium in at first, but today filled up with 89 as the owner's manual recommends. I'll see how that works out. Saves a little too. That 19 gallon tank adds a few dollars to the bill compared to the smaller tank in my previous 300M.

To All:
I don't see a category for my 05' 300 Limited but my mileage for the first 450 miles was 23.7 MPG. Hope that it improves after a few thousand miles.
It has the same engine (3.5L) as my Intrepid which gets 26-27 MPG consistantly.

I have 6000 miles on my 300C and have been getting about 21 mpg combined city/highway using the recommended 89 octane. It is a sweet ride and I would recommend this car to anyone.

Thanks for the info roverdog! I have been debating buying a 300c until I could find out the "real" mileage. I was afraid I would be getting 15 mpg tops. 21 mpg is acceptable.

I'll be getting one soon, but until now I was hesitant about the gas mileage. Thanks for clearing it up. I guess you have to drive super-calm for the engine to really put it's MDS system to efficient use.

21 mpg for city is extremely good for a Hemi vehicle in my short-term experience with ours. On the other hand it depends on whether you're using the trip computer (and believing it) or manually calculating by tracking the miles and gallons.

Last weekend (Sat.) we took a 500 mile road trip through the WV mountains and tracked the gas useage via trip computer and manual calc. After 400 miles the trip computer read 22.8 mpg, but the manual calc. indicated more like 24.5 mpg. The next (final) 100 miles was almost all highway driving with little slowdown for moutain terrain or our destination (home). The trip computer was indicating 24 mpg as we pulled in the garage. Since then the trip computer is now indicating between 17-18 mpg, and the tank is in it's last quarter... so we'll have another manual calc. by early next week.

Still it appears we should have no trouble "getting" the EPA figures, or better with our 1-year old 300C (now approaching 16k miles).

Ok, just filled up the tank for this week. First 100 miles was coming home from the trip last week at highway speed (65 mph - see previous post), remaining 206 miles was city driving with a 2.5 mile higway sprint going each way into town. Trip computer indicated 16.6 mpg. Tank took 16.6 gal... that works out to 18.5 mpg.

Not going to complain about that... our T&C van averages about 15 and change.

I do my fair share of highway certain weeks then city others... Highway driving i get minimum 17.2 mpg to 23 mpg so far... don't be fooled by the 23 mpg tho. it's only on looong trips and with the traction control off in cruise that it has happened. i drive everywhere with cruise engaged and traction control off most of the time unless roads are wet or slick. this really helps about 1.5 to 2.0 mpg increase.

Now, city driving i only get 14.9 at my lowest to about 16.5 if I drive all week stop-and-go... however, i find myself peeling out quite often, so that also has something to do with it... i love dropping down to 1st gear, turning traction control off, and tire burning while blowing out that souped up subaru, stang, harley (which have both burnt me and gotten burnt), chevy truck, bmw, and fellow hemi's...

either way, i knew what i was getting, and i love having the power there when i need to make some punk see the back of my ride vanish before his/her eyes. so what if i need to fuel up a bit more often b/c i hate getting beaten off the line. it's WORTH IT. it's all about cusomizing now.. next is bentley grille, chrome gas cover and side panels, and mopar exhaust... it's no srt, but it will be doing 400+ hp soon...

Third tankful... 276 miles. Gas pump shut off at 16.2, but I "stuffed" 0.5 more in... trip computer was indicating 17.3 mpg... manual calc. with 16.2 gal would be 17 mpg, but at 16.7 gal was 16.5 mpg.

Continuing to monitor... filled with 89 octane this time and will try for a few tankfulls to gauge effect on performance and economy.

First tank with 89 octane. Again about 270 miles (filling up with needle at beginning of last 1/8 tank). Calculation gave right at 17 mpg. Weather is getting cooler... will have to check what the tire pressures are. I know that 5 weeks ago when we bought the car, dealer had the pressure set at OEM recommendation.

6000k + miles, average (mostly city) 17.9, with 89 octane fuel. Beats our two T&C minivans we had with v-6's - they got 14.5-15.

Have 06 300c At 4000 miles. wife drives about 6 miles to work and computer shows 14.9 never over 2000rpm she says. drove to Reno 201 miles each way and got 20.9 going up (hills) and 26.1 coming back staying under 70mph and using cruise when i could. not as good as the paper on window. maybe it will get better as she breaks in..

i do alot of highway driving(between 1000 and 4000km a week)alot of it in the USA..i have 90,000miles on my 300C,,and my milage at 100km(60miles)an hour after i push the reset(on the highway) it says between
26.7 and 29 miles to the gallon,,and if i go a little slower its even better..
i get roughly 700km a tank full(highway),,its better on gas then a 4 cylinder(and alot more classier)
