Tail Light Fuse
I have a 2006 Ford Fusion and the tail light fuse blew so I replaced it and it blew again soon after. Where should I start looking?

Re: Tail Light Fuse
Ouch! That could be ugly. First I would have a look at the obvious wire bundles you could see and look for chaffing. Don't forget to look around the switch at the brakes. Do you have trailer light wiring? Any other wiring or electrical mods that may interact or run with brake wiring? If you have extra fuses, and it only blows when the brakes are pressed, you can try this. Put in a good fuse and have one person watch the brake lights as another activates them. If the short is in the wiring to one of them, the others should at least flash before the fuse blows. Don't forget the center brake light. If it's intermittent, that could be much harder. Try wiggling the wire bundles while the brakes are pressed, then when the fuse goes, at least you'd know the general area, if it's a short. If the brake switch is cheap, it might be a good shotgunning try to just change it out.
