that"ferrari sound"
maybe this is a "noob" question, but why does a v8 ferrari sound so different(better) than say a z06 corvette.they are both v8's but sound so different? i am in love w/the stradale sound!,if only i had an extra 200k sitting around!!

Re: that"ferrari sound"
The shape of the combustion chamber and the exhaust ports and of course muffler make the ferrari sound..the ferrari engine is also a shorter stoke than the z06 which also affects the noise

And that "flat" crankshaft.....
(The throws are 180 degrees apart instead of 90 degrees) |

Re: that"ferrari sound"
also i would think the higher rpms make it sound different. and also the engine is smaller.

Yeah, true...Also, interesting enough Ferrari 360's(V8) sound better than 575M's(V12)

Re: that"ferrari sound"
I have Best Motoring video of F50 doing 1/4 mile run. I don't know for sure if it has standard exhaust or not but that thing sounds like four superbikes accelerating side by side in synchronized fashion

Re: that"ferrari sound"
The Ferrari's Motor is alot smaller so that's why it sounds so much better and also the higher revs.

Re: that"ferrari sound"
have you ever seen a maranello? or did you just played to much forza? beecause the sound in forza are everything but realistic(for the ferrari's at least).
my best friends dad has a 550 maranello. he has a leak in his exhaust, so it sounds shit now haha. but normally, it sounds amazing( he has the fiorano package though). dont get me wrong, i love the sound of the modena as well, but the F430 sounds even better.
