What is this

I remove this Box from under the dashboard on the driver side of my 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham is this the ECM? if it's not i would like to know what it is and where is the ECM located

My Cadillac won't start i get i get no control signal on slot #85 where pin 85 of the relay goes in, at the fuse box under the hood.

It there a label on one of the surfaces? Usually an ECM will have an 8-digit part number on the label.

Yeah it has an 8 digit number on the bottom side so how come this ECM only has one port to plug in the wires, just this yellow port, i seen others with two ports to plug in wires and they are bigger then this and they also have a chip then can be transferred to another with ECM with the same car year and model.

Around that time the GM ECM was transitioning to EEPROM/NVRAM topography.

I was curious about the part number since it will define what it is. It could be a body or passkey/security or otheraccessory module, etc.


it doesn't look like a typical ABS module, but Cadillac also had dynamic traction control in soem of these Fleetwoods, and having the part nuber would help a lot.
