can anyone help?

i got and 86 i roc and just replaced the plugs wires and dizzy the problem im having now is it wont start all the time and then when it dose start when u shift out of first it will die and wont even try to start . its carbed 350 v8 5 speed also puts out alot of gray/ white smoke what could it be? please help. i also have a 84 plane camaro thats having issues 2.8 v6 carbed running ruff and i think the doughnut went out cause its getting loud and by the cat when i press the gass alot of air is being pushed out

does it just die when you shift or sputter then die?. gray white smoke indicates water in the oil or vice versa. check the coolant res for oil and we can go from there
