1997 Bravada
This is one of those times when the Bravada isn't at all the same as a Blazer,so it's a problem.
Where is the fuel pump relay located? My Blazer had a fuse/relay box under the hood. The Bravada doesn't have that box. Any help? Thanks |

Re: 1997 Bravada
Shows to be in the relay center behind the glove box. Appears to be three in a row. It's the one opposite of the DRL (Daytime Running Lamp) module.

Re: 1997 Bravada
There's a little door at the rear of the glovebox, behind it are the 3 relays GMTech1 refers too.
The one on the left is the fuel pump relay, middle is the horn relay and right is the daytime running lights relay. |

Re: 1997 Bravada
I found the relay and replaced it,but it didn't help.
What happened is my wife was driving and she says it just stopped running. Now it cranks but won't start and when you turn on the key, instead of the fuel pump whine,it's just clicking from the rear of the car. I hoped it was the relay, but looks like it's the pump. |

Re: 1997 Bravada
This is where you check your fuel pump pressure. The gauge is available at most chain type auto parts stores and Harbor Freight.
The spec is 60-62psi

Re: 1997 Bravada
Chris
Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't have the ability to do much more than I have.Years ago I could, but not now. I'm physically disabled, and since I got out of the hosp with pneumonia in July, have the extra treat of having to use oxygen all the time. The combination limits me to being just about useless. Hard to admit but I did all I'm able to anymore.I was just hoping the relay worked. Thanks for the help. |

Re: 1997 Bravada
Thanks.
I'm pretty used to it now though,it's been 18 years. I had it towed to a shop yesterday and talked to the owner today. He said fuel pressure was 20, so I at least figured out what it was,I just wanted it to be something else. Thanks for the help. |
