96 Prizm problems.

My 96 Prizm's fan isn't working ok also when the temp gauge got up at about half way my car started driving rough. Is that a common problem or what? I'm not going to have any trouble with the fan I just wanted to know about the roughness. Please help any comments would be greatly appricated.

as the pistons and rings heat they expand and the old theory is that ,they seize in the cylinder , but my theory is that its detonation most likely because its so hot in there, the fuel air mixture ignites like a deisel engine before the ignition event, causing a severe misfire, but as long as you didnt warp any thing you should get a suprising increase in power and milage because with all those years of built up carbon melted out the tail pipe the little engine that couldn't can perform the way it was intended to

Hey thanks for the information i was facing the same issue with my 96 geo prism engine but i did not find any solution for it i tried to check it in with all possible ways ,may i know how can i get rid of the issue .
