Distance between sides of engine cradle?

I put my Cavalier in the ditch and bent some stuff up pretty bad. One of the control arms is destroyed (wheel 3" further forward than it should be), and it looks like the engine cradle might be a bit bent. It might just be in my head because the control arm is so bad. Can anyone with a known straight cradle measure the distance between the two sides for me? Preferably at the angled spots on the very front. It's a 2004, and I believe 96 and up are the same.

Thanks,
Jason

Re: Distance between sides of engine cradle?

Measure from the rear near the steering rack side to side and then up front near the lower dog bone and opposing other side from side to side. Numbers should be the same I would think. My j is long gone so I couldnt measure, a new subframe is pretty cheap to buy...

Re: Distance between sides of engine cradle?

Thanks. I thought of that after I posted, It's been a while since I've used my brain. It is bent, but so slightly that it didn't cause a problem.
