Unhappy 1987 Vanagon wants to die when it's warm

When my Van is at normal operating temp.and i am on the road it acts like it want to die in any gear. Not slipping out of gear just loosing RPS's and wants to turn off. It's fine in idle mode.

Van runs great cold... Please help.....

Have you checked the fuel pressure?

I replaced the fuel filter. I don't know how to check the fuel pressure..

There is a port on the fuel rail, all you need is a simple gauge. If I remember correctly it should be about 44 psi running.
