93 fox driving me crazy

i have a 93 foxdigifant 1 that was working just fine till one day in the morning that i try to start and the car wouldnt start!!!after check everything i noticed that the car had no sparks coming from the distributor!!!i checked everything myself and couldnt fiond the problem!!!i took the car then to a mechanic wich works only with german cars.the guy spent 2 days in the car he changed the distributor and the coil and after 2 days trying to find what was wrong he told me that he didnt know what was going on and since he charges by the hour he told me that it was best for me to take the car away!!!!he even told me to junk the car because im gonna have to change the bearings too and after all everything would be to expensive to fix!!! i changed the computer at my house for a used one that i got in the junkyard and it still didnt work!now the car is sitting at my house and i dont know what to do!!i really need this car and i dont wanna junk it because i know its good it was running great and it looks amazing the car its in really good shape!!!please help me!!!any suggestion will be really appreciatted!!!thanks everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Put a voltmeter or test light across the two outer pins on the distributor harness connector & see if you have 12 Volts with the key on.

I know that i had the same problem with my 91 fox.
my problem..............
seat belt wasn't buckled!!!!!!!!!! :O)
same with my 89 golf...
couldn't hurt to try if you haven't already.

How about the ignition module? Had mine die in the middle of street when it was 9. Why a mechanic would miss that though I don't know.
