02 F150 transmission issue
I have a 02 f150 4x4 with auto tra transmission. It has 197k miles and has been taken very well care of but. It was fine today through some pretty deep snow, turned on a different road and it was stuck in 1st. Went from d to 2 and it shifted from 1st to 2nd just fine, put back in d and stuck in first again. When I got home I was messing with the shifter and neutral made it rev to 2500 and it jerked hard when I went to reverse. To avoid anymore damage i shut it off in reverse. This seems like it's probably a vacuum line or a sensor but I don't have the time to poke around and cant afford a mechanic. If I have a good idea what's wrong to investigate so I dont waste time chasing my tail it would be very appreciated.

Re: 02 F150 transmission issue
Yes I did actually just got it fixed a couple days ago. I narrowed it down to the tps( throttle position sensor) or to the cable that connects the shift lever to the transmission. Did the tps because it was half the cost and a much faster fix. That did the trick everything including cruise control is much better.
