96 Prism...multiple issues

Oil Light--came on this am...blinked off and on and then stopped. Took car in..they said I had NO OIL at all. (last oil change was in June). They could nt find a leak? Any suggestions on why it could be losing oil (it has 128K miles on it)

Tail Lights--has been an issue for some time. Everytime I turn around..one seems to be burnt out?

Re: 96 Prism...multiple issues

That happened to me too. My engine had been rebuilt and then I drove for about a month and then I checked the oil level and there was no reading. I later found out that the oil control ring was not resting on the cylinder wall and was letting oil go inside the crankcase. The end result: oil burning and coming out the tailpipe as blue exhaust. You should have a leak down and block test performed on the engine to see if your internal parts are worn.
