Question 93 GEO Tracker Brake problems

We are having some bad break problems. This all started when we took it to Midas to have new break shoes put on. They replaced the breaks, the right caliper, and spun the rotors. 1 month later the brakes started to lock up. We have had several people work on this, we have had the other caliper replaced some lines, the sensor thing has been replaced. They are still locking up. The lines have been bled from front to back. There has to be a answer to this. I am ready to junk the thing because there seems to be no answer.

Re: 93 GEO Tracker Brake problems

If your Tracker has ABS then it is possible that a bad wheel bearing is causing the lock-up. With a bad wheel bearing, it will cause the ABS sensor to think that the wheel is locking-up under braking conditions. It will send an error back to the computer causing the ABS light to come on and to not function. Let me know if this helps.

Is there anywhere (I already tried to Google and nada) that can gve me the low down on my '91 Tracker.

This thing has rear ABS someone told me, but he wasn't 100% sure.

Also is there anywhere that has aftermarket stuff for this puppy? I don't want to "Ghetto" it, just a nice pait job, rims and other cool gear. I'm thinking of adding a display panel for GPS and whatnot - I'll get to that when Spring rolls around. It gets cold here at 6,100 feet above sea level.

<Brrrrr...>
