Question 2000 Malibu near-continual chime question

Folks, the chime noise is going off in my car every two minutes. I have checked everything and cannot see anything obvious. Does anyone know how I can disable this for a couple of days? Is there a fuse specifically for the chime?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks, Sam.

There are two reasons for this.

Does the chime sound when the key is removed from the ignition?
This was the most common complaint and prompted gm to send out
a bulletin and require dealers to recode the lock cylinder.

There was also a recall about the seat belt saftey chime always on.
Just let me know and maybe I can help you more

Hi J. problem seemed to be tied into emergency brake. Dealer disconnected this and ordered some new part. Since it's been disconnected there's been no warning chime, thank god....

Thanks for your response.

Sam.
