91 5.2l air pump

can anyone tell me,if i put on headers and still use the o2 sensor but remove the air pump and all its tubes, will the computer still work correctly??? i am keeping the throdel body cause fuel injection is nice. it's a 91 w150 4x4 w/ 5.2l fuel inj. i don't have to worry about emissions testing so i would like to remove as much polution stuff as possible.

Re: 91 5.2l air pump

I wouldn't think that there would be any problems with the O2 sensor or the computer. I would get a new cat coverter. No wait, what am I saying, i would take the cat converter off, and tap the pipe for the O2 sensor.

If you go as far as headers you might as well forget about cats.
