hehe, yeah, but once in a while, I try to think of them as cars for comparisions. heard that cbr 1rr took the last spot for 1/4 mile, 10 sec. btw, pull wheelies often? your bike has to be THE notorious bike for wheelies.

not really. i never really try. always worried that something will go wrong.
it will come up slightly (about a foot) under power with me leaning forward but to really get it up i need to get it up to 5000rpm then flick the thottle hard. i prefer to do other stunts. ever stood on the seat and surfed the bike or jumped of the back and ski'ed behind. i know i'm a squid. i just tried to throw my legs over the windscreen and sit on the tank. worked the first time but second time i almost went down. :22yikes:

I sat on a 2003 cbr1000rr today and it was nice, but the handle bars were a bit of a reach. Other than that it was just plain badass.

I'd more interested in doing endos first than wheelies, at least when you fall off, you won't have your noggin cracked open. It also teaches about how close you can push the front brake before locking it up.

i checked ou a vid from the states call 'las vegas extremes' and went out to try it on my way to work coming onto the harbour bridge. you need a bike with a choke or rewire a thottle to the rear. a steering damper is also required. haven't done the skiing on the blade coz it doesnt have either

flex are you sure it was a 2003 cbr1000. i thought they were 2004 models since mine is a oct 2003 954

I think he was misinformed, there's no '03 CBR1000 for any part of the world. Only '03 CBR600RR.

yeah, released end of the year as '04 model.

btw, those 180 endos are bad-ass. I saw Tom Cruise (or his stuntman) do one in Mission Impossible 2, which I believe was shot in Australia.

Yeah I knew they were Triumphs, since Ducatis look a bit better, hehe. I am guessing the red one was TT600.

Btw - by the way. Not a nerd lingo mate, it comes with the territory of typing in the net. Croickey!

Well it was a CBR 1000 and the guy just recently bought it. He said it was a 03 though. It ran him 12K. yikes

he either bought a '04 bike that came out in '03 or probably doesn't know much about the bike then. '03 was only 954.

$12K? is he in Canada or Australia? If not, he just got RIPPED-OFF big time. Unless we're talking about a bike with massive chrome-work and heavy performance mods here.

Re: detuneing a bike

blayne - why you need a steering damper? (more to the point, what is one) and would you really need a throttle? couldnt you stick it in neutral and jump off and ski?...

And Z, yeah i just saw one of those 180 endo's on a bike vid, fucken awesome, first time he dropped his bike though
