Problem with Audio security feature
I recently bought a used 2000 Eclipse. I just had some work done on it, and apparently when the battery was disconnected, the sound system went into some sort of security mode. When I attempt to turn the stereo on, the display says "OFF". Has anyone encountered this, and if so, what did you do to fix it?
Thanks for your time, -plagueofme |

Re: Problem with Audio security feature
There is a code you have to put in to reset it. If it's not somewhere in your manual, ask the person you got it from. Otherwise, take it to the dealer.

Re: Problem with Audio security feature
It's not in the manual. It's on a card and you should have got that card from the dealer or the person you bought it from.

Security Woes
The card is nowhere to be found. I took it to the dealer and got the code, but I was told that I have to run the radio in the "Off" mode for up to two hours to get it to unlock, so that I can enter the code. It's been about an hour and 20 minutes now. Driving is really boring when it's so quiet.
Thanks for your help, everyone. -plagueofme |
