nice bike/s. anyone out there ever driven a 999s? just wondering what its like? and i have a question about my bike, i have a 99 cbr 600f4 and around 2500-3000rpm it seems to make a clicking/ticking sound (almost like a lifter or a chain) just wondering if anyone may know what it is? it does it while moving and while stopped and the sound seems to come up from the engine.

Re: detuneing a bike

Nevermind...I found out that it is a CCT (cam chain tensioner) I guess it goes bad fast in the late 90's CBR's. It seems to be an easy fix, the factory/automatic ones suck...its about $100 for manual tensioner and install. (Just so you all know if you are looking at a CBR)(And the earlier 90's CBR's the voltage regualator goes bad too, which is also a fairly easy fix and there are new ones out that will fix it for good).
