Tight Torsion Bars Eating up Tires?

I've bought a 2011 Ranger Sport (4X4) a year ago. After a few months, the road noise was so bad, I thought I may have a bearing going out. I took it in for analysis, and they said the tires were cupping badly, and that the shocks were shot...truck only had 65,000 miles on it and thought the shocks failing was a little premature. I put in new shocks, and rotated the tires front/back, which quieted the truck considerably, but now the noise is back.

What I am wondering is whether the torsion bars are tightened all the way to get height, and the ride is so stiff that little bumps simply wear out the shocks, resulting in cupped tires.

Does that make sense to anyone and what is the solution? Is it something I can do myself?
