Sport Edition wheels - company info?
Hi, I'm looking for information on Sport Edition wheels, specifically what company makes them (is it Sport Edition or some other name) and where I can find out more info about them. I know TireRack stocks them, but they don't have it in my size, so I'm trying to find out more about the company and other places to buy their wheels. TIA.

Re: Sport Edition wheels - company info?
They're made by a company called Fox i believe in Europe. I was looking at the Fox Sport Edition 2's - the nice clean 6-spoke wheels but they aren't in production anymore and I don't really have the money right now to buy them I'm not sure if the company exists anymore because all their products are on clearance.

I'm pretty sure the company is called Sport Edition - Fox2, 5, etc. are their different wheel models. That's what I ran into - the wheels are on clearance and there's no contact info anywhere.

Re: Sport Edition wheels - company info?
Quote:
Finally e-mailed Tirerack. Jake replied that Sport Edition is a house brand and the wheels were made for them by Kosei, a Japanese company. I got the wheels (w/ Kumho tires) a few days ago and they look good on the old car. The wheels are made in China but this isn't an issue w/ me (especially for the price) because I knew that Kosei has factories in China, Philippines, etc., and that Kosei manufactures quality wheels. Hope this helps. |

Best Regards, Rudy Retail Sales Performance Specialist 7101 Vorden Parkway South Bend, IN. 46628 I will be ordering mine today once I confirm that the Duty for these rims are 12% for being made in China plus our provincial tax of 8% and GST of 7% hope this helps other out!! |

Re: Sport Edition wheels - company info?
Beware when purchasing Sport Edition wheels. I purchased a set of rims that were labeled (cast) as 5 x 100. After mounting and balancing tires I found out they are actually 5 x 120. I also read a post from a Subaru forum where a guy had the same issue. These came from Tire Rack who offered no comment. If you buy Sport Edition rims look closely at the stamped size and then measure the lug pattern. Anybody want some 5 x 120 sport edition rims?
