HELP, HELP, HELP, stabilizer rod!!!
Hi everyone,
I just noticed that my stabilizer connecting rod on the driver side is out. Does anybody know how to fix this prblem and what is the risks of driving with it out for long periods of time. Please help. I don't want my front suspension to fall apart and cause me to get into a crash. Thanks all, Geoff. |

Re: HELP, HELP, HELP, stabilizer rod!!!
Good news.
I changed my stabilizer connecting rod (also know as stabilizer link) on both the driver and passenger side. Now I don't feel that vibration from the front that I use to get when going high speeds and then pushing on the brakes. I also don't hear that clonking noise when I go over speed bumps or when I drive over small pot holes or street abraision. I think because I changed my stabilizer connecting rods, it eliminated both of those problems. Check yours out and see how tight the two threaded links (top--connected to spring tower and bottom--connected to stabilizer) are attached. I bet if it is even a little loose from wear that it can cause vibrations and maybe clonking noise. Hope this helps anyone who has had the same problems, Geoff. |
