Test Drive and ordering next week.
I've been wanting a 330Ci for some time now. Too long. But I really don't want to plunk down $40K for it either.
So, I've decided to get a Cooper S. It's quick, should handle well (though might ride harsh), has a tasteful interior, all the creature comforts I'm looking for, and should turn as many heads as a TT would. Next week I'm going to Peabody, MA in hopes that I like it and put down a deposit and get one on order (and place myself on the waiting list). Right now though I am looking into getting information and work manuals for the car. 163HP/155lb-ft is fun, but 185HP/180-190lb-ft would make this a blast to drive and would be a hoot for eating up miles of twisty backroads. I'm going to talk to the dealer about it and hopefully dig up some information, though if anyone knows about where I could find places or groups who have modified the engine or changed engine parameters, it would be of help. Hopefully I'll like the car, because for $25K loaded, this beauty is a steal! |
