cooper into deluxe
What is the result of putting a cooper s motor into a morris mini deluxe 1965?? Has anyone done it or knows about it??

i'd fit decent brakes first. you are taking about a 100% power increase
while the Cooper S has the name a MG Metro lump will do the same or more for a lot less (at least where i live).. |

Well, you'd have to do some work to make it fit I'm sure for starters.
Second, Siryun is right when he suggests brakes. That'd be a must. Third, you'd most likely have to upgrade your suspension to handle the extra weight of the engine. I'm pretty sure it weighs more. Not sure, but you'd most likely have to do redo the engine mounts as well...

it does not weigh significantly more and the mounts are the same. the angle of the top radiator hose is a little different and needs a different form hose.
