Re: LHD Seven

The wheels and tires have been installed plus well over 100 aluminum parts have been machined and added that are just mounting hardware (bolts, washers and nuts).
I also replaced the padding on the transmission tunnel. It looks the same, but it's better than the first one…

Re: LHD Seven

Since it's off the ground I installed the scratch-built muffler too.

Re: LHD Seven

It is an occasional weekend racer and therefore could use some numbers for the autocross tracks, but for day to day use the vinyl cling numbers on roundels are stored in this cardboard tube.
The tube is Evergreen stock; the caps are milled from raw resin.

I made decals for the cardboard and labels. The bottom is taped on like the full size counterpart I copied.

The chin spoiler is bolted on (with hardware I machined) and the grille has been installed.

I made the rubber hood hold-downs out of soft vinyl.

Re: LHD Seven

I machined the bezel for the nose badge from aluminum. Made a decal for the logo and filled it with clear for a cloisonné look.

Re: LHD Seven

Thanks guys! It is very close to being finished.

Machined more hardware for the inside of the nose; nuts, bolts and washers for the badge and the spoiler. (Nine more pieces.)

I made and installed the metal hood hold-downs and inside fasteners for them.

Added a floormat for the driver's side footwell.

Re: LHD Seven

I didn't like the idea of the jack and other loose items being tossed around in the back so I made a little crate similar to what I kept in my real pick up for the same reason.
The frame was built out of sheet styrene.

And then the honeycomb sides and bottom were cut out and added.

Re: LHD Seven

In the trunk of my car I keep the front plate since there is no place to mount it as it should be by law, but at least I can show I have it if needed.
I copied the envelope it came from the DMV in, but changed the stamp to match the Seven's plate.

It's a little dirty after floating around in the rear for 15 years…

I figured I might as well put another brass plate in the envelope even if it is going to be sealed.

Re: LHD Seven

Your level of detail is crazy!
You really have to make a scale model of yourself now, that matches the car!

Thank you!

I made a mini-me in 1/43rd scale a long time ago. Fortunately I looked enough like James Hunt that there was a model available. It's still in my shop leaning against the wall, but I would have to gray out the hair and add a beard to update...

Re: LHD Seven

I also like to keep a good flashlight handy. This one is a three D cell MagLite made of solid brass.

The knurling has been added to it…
