2008 London Motor Show - Lots of photos@1280x720
And here it is, a little collection of photos taken at this years event.
Just like last time, the first thing you see when you walk into the first hall is this little section, filled with the more interesting cars. First up is: 599 Fiorano looking stunning in black. And an equalling stunning 430 Scuderia And old hero in the form of an F40 Next door is the ever pretty DB9 in Volante form And it's little brother the V8 Vantage Around the corner in the same enclosure, the truely gorgeous Maserati Granturismo. Next we have a curious one, a Zagato bodied Spyker A pair of old motorshow verterans next: CCX and Zonda There were others in this pen such as a Maybach and 612 Scaglietti and a Maserati Quatroporte but I didn't get any decent shots of these. Spyker also had this on show; an all carbon fibre bicycle. More later.

2008 London Motor Show - Peugeot
First Manufacturer's Stand: Peugeot.
One of the highlights of the show was this little beauty made for a one make race series and it is stunning. As you might be able to see, it's based on the design of the current 207 and stripped of the road going neccessities, it looks great. If only the road car looked as sleak and not so... tubby. Also on show was their 308 CC "concept" Yup, it looks like a TT, which is no bad thing as the Peugeot touches adds a little aggression to the purist TT design. Tucked up in the back in an almost hidden area was this: Most of the rest of their area was made up of the current range of cars which to be frank is a little dull and I've already played in them at various showrooms so no photos were taken.

2008 London Motor Show - Ford
Like last time, Ford had the whole of the tail end of one of the main halls.
The first thing you see when you get to their section is this tasty little number. Ford Focus RS. Might not like much but take a little trip down memory lane. The last Focus RS was known for two things; the bad ones were very prone to torque steer and did not like uneven roads at all. The good ones were however, brilliant. It also managed a 6.5 ish 0-60 time with only 220bhp This new RS is supposed to come with a tyre killing 270+ (can't remember the actual figures), still only powering the front wheels and it's supposed to handle better than the old car by means of a better slip diff and a new design of hub/knuckle. At the back of the area and taking up most floor space was the new Fiesta and I have to say, it looks great. It's obviously bigger than the current Fiesta but somehow still manages to look more compact than the old car. The interior looks pretty good And the centre console is just on the edge of snazzy without being too designed. The dash is very nice, obviously influenced by Audi. To round up, a few shots of other cars. Focus ST with the new nose. And the hard top convertible Focus.

2008 London Motor Show - Toyota
Not much to see at the Toyota stand as well, they don't hve any new cars to show.
Well, except for a new Hybrid car.... And the IQ Concept(?) Because of my personal fondness for the original, here's the Yaris SR. And an absolutely bonkers Aygo.

2008 London Motor Show - Honda
Again, like last time, much of the Honda space was taken up by various Civic models.
They did have two nice looking little things. On the main floor was this little concept. Obviously not a replacement NSX but it shows potential as an S2000 follow up model. Not as sleek as the S2000 but it's a nice sign considering at one time Honda said they were going to stop with the "performance" cars. Upstairs, where they had the Civic Type R show car last time, they had this: Ok, now it looks... interesting but the most intersting thing is the name: This is the concept for a new CRX. For all those that wanted a stripped out light-weight Type-R car, then how good does a strict 2 Seat Type-R car sound to you? Also on show is the much vaunted fuel cell car and it is massive.

2008 London Motor Show - Lexus, Suzuki, Hyundai
Two cars garnered the most interest here.
First up, IS-F which unfortunately, I didn't get a good shot of it... What I did get photos of was the LF-A From what I gather, this is pretty much production ready but obviously it will need some detail changes. Still, it's quite tasty isn't it? Around the Corner was the Suzuki stand where pride of place went to this concept. and it's little friend Hyundai on the other hand didn't have anything apart from their latest on the road coupe and this concept version.

2008 London Motor Show - Subaru and Mazda
Two disappointing showings here.
Subaru had the new Justy. Legacy And WRX STi Mazda had little apart from a facelighted RX8 that apart from a much more aggressive front end, fixed the over fussy tail lights. Seeing the Sporty version Mazda 2 Close up was also nice. There was also this beast.

2008 London Motor Show - Alfa Romeo
What else would you expect than a load of red cars and they don't get more read than these...
Rosso Corsa is so 1990s. There was a pair of white cars... And for normal people New Prodrive tweaked Brera S And Mito

2008 London Motor Show - Some Others
Random Selection of other cars.
It's strange but at the same time expected that no one gave a hoot anymore about this. Tesla Electric Car. Something called the Lightening And something I forgot the name of And something else that I've forgotten but it ssys Kamala on the Plate and K360R on the side so I'm going to guess that's what it is: Something called an Aspid And finally for this lot, they also something called a GTR. You might've heard of it.

2008 London Motor Show - GM cars
There was a good number of GM cars of various brands on show.
This stood out in its orange glory. For giggles I also took a snap of this, Of more real world interest is this little supermini. This isn't what I call good looking but it is definitely striking. Another Concept And a more real Corsa. Also part of the GM area was this very nice display.

2008 London Motor Show - Lotus
Not much except the current range of Elises and Exiges.
Not sure if it's just me but it seems like the New Elises are even easier to get into before. I almost fell into the Elise SC they had there that I don't recall happening in the Elise S. They did have the first showing of the Evora though and my this is good.

2008 London Motor Show - Heritage Enclosure
Best bit of this year's show was the Heritage Enclosure.
The best bit of this was that ever day, 10 cars went out for 3 quick "parade" laps. Some of the ten that ran on the day that I was there.
