Re: Finally.....
plans right now are keep it in good shape. maybe some rims and a couple little customization things but otherwise im not gonna beat the piss out of it until i can afford either a rebuild or a swap. its basically a 3 season daily driver. with absolutely no rust anywhere.

LIAR!!! once you get the feeling of a high revving tires smoking rotary... youll beat it... we all do, the best part is... rotaries love it and ask for more! Just keep an eye on the oil consumption |

Re: Finally.....
oh dont worry. i know what it can do.
i finally got the car on a lift and heres what i saw it has the 4 piston front calipers, 1 piston rears. unknown brand slotted rotors, unknown pads. stock VLSD. eibach springs with tokico blue struts unknown brand stainless steel headers, heat wrapped. unknown brand middle silencer, looks like coated mild steel, dual 2.5" in/out. racing beat stainless true dual exhaust. no p/s belt no a/c belt sparco? short shift kit. its way short. probably ebay cone filter on a stock air tube. 205/60/15 sumitomo htr200 tires on stock 15" rims and no rust at all. its a blast to drive. after owning 2 240s and other stuff its kind of different having to rev that high to get the burnouts happening. not bad just not used to it. when i get some money i may swap the motor. depending on how rich i am, either a turbo miata engine (possibly depending on how hard it is), or a.....rb25det. i know im twisted.

Re: Finally.....
I agree with him, go rotary. I've always thought it was pointless to put a non-rotary in an RX.. but hey, that's my oppinion, it's your car. Make it how you want it.

Re: Finally.....
the whine when i go WOT is just intoxicating. its not hard to control how easily the rear end steps out when i want to, but its hard to control transitions on account of the stock size crap tires, 20 year old bushings, and lack of power steering. those are the first things im gonna fix. rims, tires, a full bushing kit, figure out why the power steering belt was off when i bought it, and some adjustable alignment bits. otherwise it runs like a champ. oh yeah and some better brake fluid, SS lines, better pads, and probably either a new brake MC, or if its sized wrong, a properly sized BMC. the pedal has lots of travel before any braking occurs, but it doesnt hamper the braking itself. just is annoying. ill keep you guys posted with progress, however slow progress ends up being.
