I, personally, think the Griffith is the only obvious choice. Straight line performance is slightly better and looks are far better.

Does that GTS include the Hennessey Viper?

Who said anything about being fair! Is life fair? Is the political system in the country fair? Does paying taxes out the ass FAIR??? IS.......whoa!! Almost lost it there for a minute. Sorry.

I don't know. Show some stats and stuff and then I'll decide. I don't think that the GTS would loose. Too much torque in that thing.

The GTS all the way. Not only does it look much better, its got way to much power to overcome.

This is what I found on the TRV

PERFORMANCE
0-60 - 4.1
0-100 - 10.5
Maximum speed - 167mph.

And the 2000 GTS
0-60 - 4.00
0-100 - 8.80
Maximum speed - 194mph

Sorry the GTS is too much of a car for the TRV

Here's somemore stats if it helps:

Dodge Viper GTS

Engine: 8.0 V10 OHV
Horsepower: 450
Torque: 490 (LB-FT)
Weight: 3460 Lbs.

TVR Griffith 500

Engine: 16 valve 5.0L pushrod V-8
Horsepower: 340
Torque: 350 (LB-FT)

The 0-60 and Quarter mile times are also both correct.
I also like the Viper more simply because of it's 100 hp advantage and it's superior styling. I like the older Vipers with Sidepipes even better.

First of all, YogsVR4, it's not "TRV" it's TVR.

Second, the 500 should be compaired to the C5 Corvette (and the ZO6 package) not a V10 with 490 lb.-ft. of torque. Sure the TVR might be a very worthy opponent on the race track with race tires but none of you guys are even considering that. lol I have driven both and all though I hate to say it (it's a frickin' Dodge) I like the Vipers' looks and preformance. But I just love the 500. It's more refined or whatever people say. Anyway, I say 500, it's much better overall. BTW, the Viper's sound sucks. The TVR is awesome. Even when it's at the stop light it's louder than most V12s. It sounds superb. And sitting in the Viper is like sitting in the back seat of a mini van. The engine is like half the car....

Post a pic, then I'll decide styling wise. I must think the viper would win in a race, it is faster, and it can handle. I have heard other places the viper sounds bad too. And don't forget that TVR makes awesome details, like interiors the other guys only put in show cars, and stuff like that. How about price? And that V8 is strange, TVR is famous for their straight sixes.

I would take the TVR though, for the neat interiors and I'll never see myself coming the other way!

Good God. Nobody here thinks TVRs kick ass? Sheeeeeeet. The TVR Cerbera Speed 12 would kick the Vipers ass. OK that's more in the McLaren F1 level. lol Seriously, I'm sure probably most of you (unless your die hard muscule car fans which your not) would hate the Viper after a few months. It takes SOOOOO much effort to drive. It's more of a crusing car. You think I'm full of shit but it really is. The Corvette ZO6 is more of a car than the GTS. An NSX with a supercharger and racing tires would kick it's ass in real macho roads. The Viper is nothing more than a toy for the wealthy to play with here and there. It sucks ass. It can come up with some very awesome acceleration numbers, especially with turbos, but it's handling bites. IT does have good grip but it's difficult to stear that big ass 8 liter V10 around. Don't get me worng, I don't hate the Viper, It's one of the best cars out of America (if you don't count Chevys cars). But in real life, I'd take a moded car than a stock Viper. And I'm sure a lot of you would too if you have the oppertunity to buy such a car. It so stupid the way Dodge get's power to it's engines. They are nothing but big.

Viper GTS................................ZZ2
$40-150+K.............................around $90K
8 liters....................................2-3 liters
450bhp...................................550bhp
AND the ZZ2 is only 2200 lb. lol

Again, the TVR is a much better CAR. The Viper is one hell of an exotic wanna be/muscule car thing.
