Drivers door handle
Just purchased a 2011 Fusion and still getting used to it. The car unlocks the doors itself when the transmission is put into park.Stopped a day ago and I guess I tried to open the door to quickly. When I put the trans in park I grabbed the door handle at the sane til (nature was calling and I was kinda in a hurry) Something happened to the handle cause now it doesn't work. Feels like I might have broken something. The lock doesn't unlock itself anymore either. Suggestions??

Re: Drivers door handle
Boy, this is pretty old, probably solved. You can buy replacement door handles on ebay for like 25 dollars. I bought one for my 2010. Takes about 15 min to replace. Seems to be quite common issue.

Re: Drivers door handle
Yes, take off the broken one and replace a new. It is very easy.

Re: Drivers door handle
Mine will no longer open from the inside. I hear its due to a latch that fell off but I cant figure out how to take off the door panel....

Re: Drivers door handle
Check youtube for a video. Two, three screws and a few pushpins hold it on. Easy fix once you check the videos.
