New volvo owner with crazy question
Hello all. Not new to the forum just new to volvos.. Not sure whey but i bought one. Picked it up for a good price. Anyway 2000 s70 auto.. I was tring to get the ac to go off when im in the car. I read the manual and it say that volvo recomends the use of ac all times. Since gas is almost 4 bucks, thats not going to happen. How do i get the switch to stay in the off position while still getting the blower to blow the outside air??? I can get it off when i turn everything off but that defeats the purpose..

Re: New volvo owner with crazy question
I like Volvo's; never owned one but I like them!
I have no idea how to make it stay off, but I would suggest to disconnect the electrical connector on the A/C compressor or you can follow the lines coming out of it to find a pressure switch. Disconnecting any of these should make the compressor to stop working. That' how I keep my Town Car from cooling the air during the winter. Oscar.
