Question about swap

To all the 89 civics have the same engine mounts ? i know its a dumb question but id like to know what kind of engine or what could i do with my old engine( modifications)....i have a D14a1 its a 1.4l dual carb runs on 98E any thought on what could i do

Sry im new with engines....i know about em but i dont know what will fit and what modifications could i do with my car

I live in Estonia and the car i think is from france ......the tag under the hood says type france..........here is a pic of my engine

you could use any d-series and it will bolt in....you will just have to convert your car to FI....which is your only speedbump.

well estonia is right next to russia and under finland.........and im thinking that a 2.0l engine would not fit my car without modifications..........but what whould u recomend ...what whould be a good swap?

hi mate im from the UK , i take it your car is a GL???

the best engine to swap in EASILY with the best gains are the 1.6-16 engine which is the D16A9 its out of the civic/crx 1.6i-16 , hope that helps

how do i know if my hatch is a GL....it does not say it anywhere.....

well if its a 1.4 twin carb it sounds like a GL , i take it yours has a sunroof, electric mirrors/windows, and power steering?

hmmm post up some pics of your car then mate

well anyway the D14A is the Twin carb 1400 which is the engine in the GL anyway so the D16A9 would eb eaisly available and a easily swapable engine

was gone but dident find any and ordering from the net iscostly and i havent got that much cash:/....the body kit i build myself .......but im building my own light kinda like acura rsx tails here pic but its not finished and its a bad pic
