Question Transmission Control Solenoid

My 97' Ram 1500 4x4 recently coded a transmission control solenoid, unfortunately I am an idot and purchsed the part without thinking it would be a big deal to change it out, WRONG,,,,,,,, seems this piece is actually inside the transmission, If anyone has changed this themselves could you let me know how tough a job this is ???
