How to Program the BMW key
I just took delivery of my 2004 325i and forgot to ask the dealership to program the key so the car would make a sound and would flash turn signals when I arm/disarm the alarm. I want to know if anyone knows before I pick up the phone. We all know how disinterested they become once you sign the papers. Please email any responses to pangeaaffair@aol.com. Thanks.

mechy1barry;
could you post your responce to 'thesamba'. I'm watching with great interest as 'Initializing' the keypads is done independent of the service testers, I know of no way to 'Reprogram/Personalize' the vehicle system W/O a MoDiC/GT-1 or the Sales Dept. unit Dealers may have........thanks............jb. |

Re: How to Program the BMW key
the lights flashing with key button press is set in car/key memory with the DIS machine or GT1. Programming the key remote function is done without having to go to the dealer.
